Guest Speaker Programme

To complement the Activities Programme, the College arranges for a wide variety of guest speakers to come in to College to speak to students about the opportunities on offer once they leave College.
Speakers include staff from universities, parents and ex-students working in specific sectors (e.g. journalism, fashion, engineering etc), local celebrities and even film directors!

The Lower Sixth are timetabled to attend various talks, presentations and a Higher Education / Careers Fair, to help them to make an informed decision about their future.

Progression Day

Following on from Get aHEAD Day Lower Sixth students are given a further opportunity to plan their progression route.   For those students interested in going to university there is a talk by a UK university, the opportunity to register on the UCAS system and the chance to begin work on their personal statement.  Those interested in alternative routes can access employability skills sessions and industry talks.

Alternative to Higher Education Evening / Careers Fair

Focusing on alternative progression routes to university, the ‘Alternatives to Higher Education Evening’ allows Lower Sixth students and their parents to access industry information and to speak to local employers about the opportunities available to College Leavers.
