Supporting local Gifted and Talented students

On Wednesday 18th October, a group of Gifted and Talented Year 8 students selected from the College’s four partner schools (de Stafford, Oakwood, Reigate and Warwick) will be given the opportunity to experience Reigate College's Performing Arts department first hand.

Performing Arts teachers will lead the group through a series of warm-ups and introduce them to 'props in performance' in the Rispoli Theatre, before they begin work on a pedestrian physical theatre piece. Using Ghost by Bruce Joel Rubin and Patricia Resnick’s Nine to Five as inspiration, they will also develop some scripted work and will end the afternoon with a brief performance in the studio.

Drama teacher Zoe Dunkley who will lead the afternoon, said, 'This is a fantastic opportunity for prospective students to meet and talk to our current students and take advantage of our fantastic new facilities whilst engaging in an exciting and varied project.'
