2019 Activities and Wellbeing Fair

2019 Activities and Wellbeing Fair

College students today had the chance to attend the 2019 Activities and Wellbeing Fair to find out more about the wide range of weekly extra-curricular activities the College offers.

Students can choose from around 60 different activities ranging from Yoga to Italian for Beginners, Debating to Self Defence, and Zumba to Musical Theatre Club. Representatives were also on hand from organisations including the Samaritans, Relate, Guide Dogs, NHS Sexual Health services, Catch 22 Surrey Young People’s Substance Misuse and Action for Carers Surrey to talk to students about different aspects of wellbeing.

Studies show that maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle is important for all-round mental and physical wellbeing, and as such the weekly Activities programme forms part of the College’s holistic approach to education. Alongside the Activities, College students also have the opportunity to take part in competitive sport, volunteering and community events, as well as the compulsory Tutorial Programme which covers a range of topics to promote wellbeing.
