Take a look at these fabulous beach hut designs, produced by Lower Sixth Product Design (3D Design) students, as part of their Community Architecture project.
The designs were developed as a 3 month project and competition to find the perfect beach hut, and was supported by the Reigate-based architectural firm, WS Architecture and Planning.
Before he announced the winners, Lee Barker, Architectural Director, from WSA&P gave an insightful online webinar about the role of an architect and the training and development options open to Architects.
The three competition winners (as judged by Lee Barker and the students who took part) were Kate Moseley, Nathaniel Jones and Elizabeth Walters, with Elizabeth Walters being named the overall winner.
Beth Eddy, Head of Product Design (3D Design) at the College said, “We’re all so impressed by the quality of work produced and level of creativity involved, from all 36 students. Their motivation and commitment throughout lockdown within this project was amazing! They should be very proud of what they achieved.”
Former Reigate College student Max Rayner (RC 2016-2018) joined WS Architecture and Planning in September 2018 as an Architectural Assistant Apprentice.
