Duration: Permanent, part-time, term-time only

Salary: From £6,013.46 to £6,527.33 per year (31.74% of Point 20 to Point 21P4). Full-time equivalent salary is £18,946 to £20,565 per year.

The College is seeking to employ a permanent, part-time, Community Coordinator, to help develop and promote the activities that broaden the students' experience beyond their formal studies. The role will also promote the College community ethos, student health and well-being.

This post may be suitable for a graduate, someone with experience in education or charity organisations or those interested in a career in teaching in the post 16 sector.

Successful applicants must have good communication, interpersonal and IT skills. The successul applicant will be qualified to at least GCSE A* - C  level, or equivalent, in Maths and English.

The successful candidate will work directly for the Associate Principal (Pastoral and Support) and will be responsible for leading on community initiatives within the College. The role works closely with students in the College and leads and develops those who have been elected to serve on the Students Union.

The role has a strong event management focus, with the Coordinator expected to organise student and staff activities and socials throughout the year. A basic level of accounting will also be required in the job, although training can be given on-the-job. The post requires administrative and people skills and would ideally suit a self-starter, with creative and innovative ideas.

The post is term-time only (39 weeks per year) and the hours of work are from 10.00am to 2.30pm on three days a week. Precise days are negotiable, but preference is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The post does require some flexibility in hours, for which time off in lieu will be given. The role also requires occasional evening work.

The salary is from £6,013.46 to £6,527.33 per annum (31.74% of Point 20 to Point 21P4). The full-time equivalent salary is £18,946 to £20,565 per annum.

In completing their supporting statement, candidates are asked to indicate the particular strengths and experiences they would bring to the post.
