Degree apprenticeship insight at Menzies

Maths students at Menzies

Accountancy firm Menzies opened the doors of their Leatherhead office to give 20 Lower Sixth Maths students an insight into their Degree Apprenticeship options on Wednesday 17 January.

As well as an office tour and welcome talk, students found out about different routes into the business including accounts; audit; corporate tax; and research and development. The visit wrapped up with a networking opportunity with current Menzies trainees.

Lower Sixth student Sam said, “It was really good to see different routes into Finance, other than needing to go to university.” Fellow student Jocelyn said, “I found it useful to find out about the variety of roles available in Finance.”

Work Experience Coordinator Sarah-Louise said, “Visits like this help to demystify businesses and give our students a better understanding of where they might like to target apprenticeship applications. A huge thanks for the team at Menzies for packing such a lot into the morning.”
