This event is aimed at female students who are interested in studying STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) at Reigate College from September 2024 – with a particular focus on subjects such as Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Engineering or Computer Science.
Reigate College is extremely proud of the high number of girls who are offered places to study these subjects at leading universities each year, on what are traditionally male-dominated courses. This event aims to show you how you’ll benefit from studying STEM subjects at the College.
Date & Time: Wednesday 24 January, 6.30pm – 8pm
Venue: Rispoli Theatre, Reigate College
Format:
- Introduction by Simon King, Maths and Further Maths teacher at Reigate College.
- A panel of current female Reigate College students, who are studying a range of STEM subjects, will offer advice about subject choices and share their experiences of studying these subjects at Reigate College. They will also share parts of their EPQ presentations.
- You’ll hear from inspirational external speaker(s) from the STEM industry, who will offer an insight into potential careers linked to these subjects and share their own experiences.
Booking (*NOT CURRENTLY OPEN*): To attend, please book one ‘student’ ticket in the student’s name. Places are limited and will be offered on a strictly first come, first served basis.
Due to the popularity of this event, we are unable to accommodate parents/guardians in the theatre; however, the event will be recorded and a link will be shared with parents/guardians following the event. Refreshments will be provided for those who wish to wait on site.
