This event is aimed at students who have applied to study A Level Maths from September 2025, and are thinking of continuing to university to study Maths, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Economics or another STEM or mathematical-related subject (including joint degrees such as Maths and Philosophy).

For application to many universities for these subjects, it is a significant advantage to you to have taken Further Maths A Level in addition to Maths. This event aims to explain what is covered in A Level Further Maths, and the order in which it is taught at the College, and to explain what the advantages of studying Further Maths are.

Further Maths (usually as one of a combination of four subjects, another of which must be Maths) is a subject which goes well with a range of other subjects, not only those listed above. At the College we also have students who love Maths and study Maths and Further Maths in combination with Languages, History, Classical Civilisation, Psychology and have usually been successful in applying to courses at highly-rated universities.

Format:

  • Introduction and overview of the course by Simon King, Maths and Further Maths teacher at Reigate College, and Head of the Maths Department.
  • A panel of current Further Maths students, studying a range of subjects with Further Maths, will discuss their experience of their subject choices and their future progression.

Booking: Please reserve a place by booking a ticket.  We will email you the link to the live Zoom Webinar the day before.  It is advisable to download the Zoom app in advance if you are accessing the Webinar via your mobile or a tablet.

Please note that this invitation doesn’t guarantee an offer of a place at the College. You will be advised of the status of your application by the Admissions Department in due course.
