Details

This event is aimed at female students (and their parents/guardians) who are interested in studying STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) at Reigate College from September 2023 – with a particular focus on subjects such as Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Engineering or Computer Science.

Reigate College is extremely proud of the high number of girls who are offered places to study these subjects at leading universities each year, on what are traditionally male-dominated courses. This event aims to show you how you’ll benefit from studying STEM subjects at the College.

Date & Time: Wednesday 16th November, 5.30pm – 7pm

Venue: Rispoli Theatre, Reigate College

Format:

  • Introduction by Simon King, Maths and Further Maths teacher at Reigate College.
  • A panel of current female Reigate College students, who are studying a range of STEM subjects, will offer advice about subject choices and share their experiences of studying these subjects at Reigate College.  They will also share parts of their EPQ presentations.
  • You’ll hear from inspirational external speaker(s) from the STEM industry, who will offer an insight into potential careers linked to these subjects and share their own experiences.

Booking: To attend this event, please book a ‘student’ ticket. One parent/guardian, per student, is also welcome to attend.  If required, please book an additional ‘parent/guardian’ ticket in their own name.

Places are limited and will be offered on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Please email CollegeEvents@reigate.ac.uk if you have any accessibility/impairments that require special arrangements to be made on your behalf.
