Duration: Permanent, full or part-time, term time only

Salary: • Full-time, term-time only (85.62%) – between £25,688.57 and £26,386.37 per annum (FTE £30,003 and £30,818), progressing on annual increments up to £27,903.56 per annum (FTE £32,590) or, • Part-time, term-time only (64.65%) – between £19,396.94 and £19,923.84 per annum (FTE £30,003 and £30,818), progressing on annual increments up to £21,069.44 per annum (FTE £32,590).

The Post

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Exam Access Arrangements Manager to lead the Exams Access provision within our Learning Support Department. The post holder will work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff and other professionals to assess and approve exam access arrangements for students. The post requires a high level of organisation and excellent attention to detail. The post holder is required to have: –

  • Successfully completed a post-graduate course at or equivalent to Level 7 or a specialist teacher assessor with a current SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate, as awarded by BDA, the Dyslexia Guild or Patoss and listed on the SASC website.
  • A teaching qualification.

The post is available from 1 September 2024 on a permanent basis. The post is available either: –

  • Full-time, term-time only (85.62%) – 8.45am to 4.45pm (with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break) or,
  • Part-time, term-time only (64.65%) – 9.00am to 3.00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

However, there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.

Our ideal person will have experience working as an Exam Access Arrangements Assessor.

The Learning Support Department

The Department is led by a SENCO and Deputy SENCO and has a large and experienced team of Learning Facilitators, who provide direct support to students. The post holder will be assisted by a dedicated College Administrator.

The Department is based in the Student Support Hub in the Priory Building. The Hub is an open access area that students can drop in to at any time. The area is shared with the Student Mentoring Team, who provide practical guidance to students in managing their time and workload.

Salary

The salary for the post is either: –

  • Full-time, term-time only (85.62%) – between £25,688.57 and £26,386.37 per annum (FTE £30,003 and £30,818), progressing on annual increments up to £27,903.56 per annum(FTE £32,590) or,
  • Part-time, term-time only (64.65%) – between £19,396.94 and £19,923.84 per annum (FTE £30,003 and £30,818), progressing on annual increments up to £21,069.44 per annum (FTE £32,590).
