Lower sixth student wins national science writing competition

Congratulations to Lower Sixth student Ben Bradley who has won the Trinity Term 2019 Oxford Scientist national school science writing competition.

These termly science writing competitions were set up by The Oxford Scientist magazine “to encourage school students to think about science outside of the classroom, and give them the opportunity to explore their own scientific interests in a creative way”. For this term’s competition, students in Years 10-13 were invited to write a short article about “how science can change the world”.

Ben’s article – entitled “Science Can Change The World – If It Is Given The Chance To” – was judged the overall winner and has been published in the latest edition of the magazine. Click here to read it.

Ben joined Reigate College from The Priory School and is studying A Level Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths.
