On Friday 25th October 50 Politics students visited the Palace of Westminster for a laws and debating workshop. The students were given a tour of the House of Commons and House of Lords, and also had the opportunity to ask questions to hereditary crossbench peer Lord Russell.
“These visits are enormously important,” says Head of Politics Nick de Souza. “They allow young people to see how laws are made and where the decisions affecting their lives are taken. Standing in the Commons chamber also allows our students to think big and to ponder what they would do if they sat on those green benches.”
