Sporting Achievement

Ben (right) competes for England at Korfball, a ball sport that is probably closest to netball and basketball, with teams consisting of eight players – four male and four female.

All players are allowed to shoot and defend but, unlike basketball, players can’t dribble, or run with the ball. This year Ben has competed in both the U17 and U19 world cups in Eindhoven (NL) and Kutna Hora (CZ). In the U17 tournament Ben was England’s top male scorer, scoring 6 goals across the tournament.

Future Plans

Ben is planning on studying Business and Management at university and hopes to represent England in the U19 World Cup, taking place in Belgium in 2023.
