Why did you choose Reigate College?
I chose Reigate College because it’s the perfect stepping stone between school and university. I also liked the fact that the teachers are specialised for sixth form teaching, and it’s a great opportunity to have a new start and meet new people in a different environment.
How and why did you decide which subjects to study?
I chose my subjects because I enjoy them and I think it’s really important that you are genuinely interested in what you’re studying. Also, because I was already considering a career in Medicine I knew Biology, Chemistry and Maths was a good combination.
Is there a member of staff who’s gone the extra mile to help you?
Liz Sanders gives all the aspiring medics incredible support. Because applying for Medicine is a long and quite complicated process, having a specific person to go to for help makes a huge difference.
Tell us about any College activities you’ve been involved in.
I went to the MVD (Medicine, Veterinary and Dental) Society which I found extremely helpful as I got to know other students with similar careers in mind. Medics and current medical students came in to talk to us, which gave everyone a very honest insight into a medical career and what it entails.
I also played Netball for the College in the Lower Sixth.
