Why did you choose Reigate College?

I wanted to carry on studying both Computing and Dance, which wouldn’t have been possible at my previous school.

What have you enjoyed most about your courses?

Maths is about working through a problem and identifying how the knowledge you’ve developed can help you find the solution, which I think is both an important skill and transferable into other subjects and real life.

In Computer Science we’ve learnt to use Java – a new language for me, and this was a challenge I welcomed.

In Dance we’re encouraged to create pieces, not only thinking about choreography, but costumes, lighting and set as well. I’ve had the opportunity to put the majority of my pieces into productions, including Hot Feet and our end of year shows.

What do you like most about studying at College?

There’s a real sense of community which helps to motivate you to study harder than you might on your own – there’s always someone to remind you what you’re aiming for and that you can actually get there.

What are your plans for the future?

I’ve been offered a place to study Dance at the University of Surrey’s Guildford School of Acting. After that, I would love to form my own professional dance company and tour my choreography.
