What’s the College’s Intermediate Programme and why did you do it?

The Intermediate Programme is for students like me who missed getting five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above. It means you spend an extra year at College doing Level 2 courses and GCSE resits.

I did Level 2s in Travel & Tourism, Public Services and Business and I re-sat my GCSE Maths which I was very pleased about passing. The results I got for these meant I then qualified to do Level 3 courses in Travel & Tourism (double) and Public Services.

What would you say to someone who finds themselves in a similar situation?

I’d say it’s okay to be set back a year. I’ve now got a good set of grades and the extra year at Reigate has really helped me decide what I want to do in the future, as I’ve had an extra year to really think about it.

What are your plans for the future?

I’m planning on working as Cabin Crew for Virgin Atlantic.
