Why did you choose Reigate College?

The College’s wide range of subjects was the main reason I was drawn to the College initially, as well as its extensive Enrichment Programme, through which I was able to find students who share similar interests.

After two years at College I now know that the level of teacher support is unparalleled, despite the size of the College. All staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful whenever you have a problem.

How have you found the teaching and support staff?

The Learning Support has been fantastic. Staff have listened to my needs and really gone the extra mile for me. No one at College has ever made my Dyslexia and Neurodivergence seem like a limitation. In fact, staff have encouraged me, like no one else before. The different layers of support are also great with the range of people and places to get it from.

Tell us about any College Enrichment activities you’ve been involved in?

I’ve been involved in both the Latin and Ancient Greek Clubs at College which have really helped me cement my ideas of what I want to do in the future, as well as helping me in other subjects. Being able to take the Ancient Greek Certificate this year was amazing!

I also love being part of the College’s SU, giving back to the local community and puting forward ideas to help continually improve the College.

What’s your plan for when you leave College?

I hope to study Classics at Cambridge or Glasgow, before going on to do a Masters and a PHD, following which I would like to work in research and academia surrounding Classics, exploring new ways of contextualising the past. I would also love to become a Lecturer and be able to keep on learning forever!
