Why did you choose Reigate College?
I chose Reigate College because I could do any combination of subjects and also because of the wide range of extra-curricular activities you can get involved with. I was already doing a lot of activities outside school so to have the facilities to continue them at College alongside my studies was very appealing.
How and why did you decide which subjects to study?
I’ve always wanted to be a stuntman, for which you need a good understanding of choreography, performance quality, stage presence and acting, so Dance and Acting were the perfect courses for me. They’re both very practical subjects so I chose Applied Science as my third subject as it’s more academic and is a good contrast.
Tell us about any College activities you’ve been involved in outside lessons i.e. sports teams, shows, clubs and activities, DofE etc. What have you got out of them?
I’ve got involved in San Da (Martial Arts), Gymnastics and Cheerleading which has allowed me to continue building on existing skills as well as develop new skills and disciplines. I’ve loved having the opportunity to use equipment I’ve always wanted to try out, such as air tracks in Gymnastics, and to do full contact sparing at competition level in San Da.
What are your plans for the future?
I’ve got a place on the BA Acting and Stage Combat course at East 15 Acting School, part of the University of Essex. I’ll be studying acting, hand-to-hand combat, weapons training and gun training for three years in the hope of one day becoming a professional Hollywood stuntman or maybe even a Hollywood action movie star.
