How and why did you decide which subjects to study?
History has always been my favourite subject. I thought it would be useful to study
Economics given that the world revolves around money and I thought Maths would give me options, as it’s a good pathway opener.
How did you find the move from school to College?
It was an easy and swift transition. Everyone is welcoming and helpful.
What have you enjoyed most about your courses?
I like how History impacts on modern day. For example, the Cold-War content of the History course follows Russia and closely links to the Russia-Ukraine War. For the British Empire we learnt about the history of Palestine. Again, linking the past to the current Israel-Palestine conflict.
How have you found the teaching and support staff?
All the teachers are great and are always open to questions and providing extra help. The Independent Learning Centre is phenomenal for getting work done. It’s a great environment to work in.
What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?
I like the community feel at the College and the links with the town. You can get student discounts everywhere!
What do you think makes Reigate College a good place to be a student?
It’s a great place to make friends and provides a perfect learning environment.
What’s your plan for when you leave College?
I want to go to university to study History with Economics. Then I might go down the Finance route.
