Please note in addition to Esmé doing the subjects listed above, she also took A Level Drama & Theatre Studies which has now been replaced by BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts (Acting).
Why did you choose Reigate College?
De Stafford is one of the College’s Partner Schools and I got to visit a couple of times via the ‘Gifted and Talented’ sessions. Through this, I noticed the friendly environment and liked the idea of being more independent.
How did you find the move from school to College?
It was really easy to make friends within my subject lessons as you all share a common interest! The wide variety of clubs also helps.
Have you been involved in any extra-curricular activities?
I’ve been involved in two College productions. I played the role of ‘Alice’, in Vinegar Tom and ‘Joanna’ in Sweeney Todd. As well as giving you a breather from your lessons, these were a great way of getting to know new people from both year groups.
I also did the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award and was Publicity Officer on the Students’ Union.
What do you like most about being a student at College?
It’s great to be studying subjects which I really enjoy, and am surrounded by a network of encouraging peers and staff who are helping me become the best possible version of myself.
What are your plans for the future?
I have a place on an Actor Development course, with the company Peer Productions, who focus on Theatre in Education. After this year I plan to audition for Drama Schools, such as RADA and LAMDA, for a place on a BA (Acting) course.
