Why did you choose Reigate College?

Reigate College offered subjects I was interested in that my previous school didn’t offer. I also knew several students already at the College who said they’d felt really welcomed and supported there.

How and why did you decide which subjects to study?

I wanted to study Philosophy because I saw the overview of the course on the website and thought the modules looked interesting. I chose English Language and Literature because I’ve always really enjoyed reading and was keen to study the course texts, and Classical Civilisation because I’ve always loved learning about ancient societies and Mythology.

How have you found the teaching staff?

I’ve always felt really supported at College, especially by my Tutor, who has always been someone I could go to for help on any specific issues, whether academic, pastoral, or about careers or university.

What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?

The sense of community and I’ve really enjoyed getting to meet lots of new people both in and outside my classes through events like the Community afternoon and Freshers’ Party.

What are your plans for the future?

I’m going to the University of Exeter to study Philosophy. I don’t know what I want to do after university yet, but I feel like my time at College has prepared me well for whatever it is I decide to pursue.
