Why did you choose Reigate College?

Reigate College regularly achieves exceptional academic results, but it also has the MVD programme for aspiring Medics, Vets and Dentists, which is unique to the College and was a big selling point for me.

I also like the environment as it encourages you to be independent, which makes it a great stepping stone between school and university.

How and why did you decide which subjects to study?

I did some research to find out what subjects I’d need for Medicine, and Biology, Chemistry and Maths were the preferred options for most Med Schools.

What have you enjoyed/are you enjoying most about your courses?

Biology and Chemistry always have interesting practicals, that complement the theory. The Maths course is structured in a really organised way, making it easier for students to build their knowledge and skills.

All the teachers do their best to make the learning interactive and varied, so it is always interesting, and you feel encouraged to strive to do your absolute best.

Tell us about any College Enrichment activities you’ve been involved in

The MVD Programme has given me invaluable support on my journey to applying to Medicine, including introducing the UCAT (entrance exam), taking part in a live dissection and being able to talk to different doctors about their experiences.

We were given a wealth of guidance, but also pushed and encouraged to do well on our own accord, which came with time and practice.
