How and why did you decide which subjects to study?

I chose Economics, Mathematics and Politics for A Levels because I knew these subjects would be helpful when I study Accounting and Finance at university.

What have you enjoyed most about your courses?

I’ve really enjoyed Politics and Economics due to their relevance to the real world. In my opinion, there has never been a better time to study these subjects – with Britain leaving the European Union and the election of Trump in the US. The EU referendum will have huge economic ramifications on the British economy and some of Trump’s policies are very different to previous US Presidents.

Tell us about your involvement with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award programme.

As a result of doing the DofE, I now go to the gym three times a week. I’ve been on three DofE Expeditions, two of them practice ones and the last one was my qualifying expedition in Snowdonia. It’s been a very unique experience and one I will never forget.

What do you like most about studying at College?

I like the fact that the College has a very grown up environment in which you are not forced to do things by teachers; students do things willingly because they know it will benefit them.
