When did you leave the College and what did you study?

I left in 2012 and did A Levels in Maths, French and Economics and AS Levels in Further Maths and Chemistry.

What did you go on to do after College?

I got a place on Total Gas and Power’s Sponsored Degree Programme and studied Maths with Finance and Accounting at Queen Mary University of London. I know I was really lucky to have got onto the programme as it meant I had the best of several worlds – the benefit of going to university but with no financial worries (as Total sponsored me) and brilliant work experience – as I got to work in different departments at Total in the holidays.

What are you working now?

I’m working at Total as a Management Reporting Analyst in Finance which means I’m accountable for reviewing, analysing and reporting financial information. In the future I’m planning on doing my professional qualifications to become a Management Accountant.

Would you recommend doing a sponsored degree programme?

Yes! I heard about the scheme at Total via a presentation that was organised through the College’s Careers Department, so it’s worth looking at all the Careers Bulletins as more and more of these sorts of programmes are becoming available.
