How and why did you decide which subjects to study?

I’ve always been a fan of exploring the cultures of the past, as they tell the story of how we got to where we are today. I also enjoy learning about the basic rules that underpin our everyday lives which is why I chose Maths to go alongside Classics and French.

Tell us about any College activities you’ve been involved in outside lessons.

I played for the College Rugby team which is a fun, healthy way to use my time, and is a chance to meet some great people. The teams played well this year, and we’re all extremely optimistic about next year. Rugby’s a very intense sport – you have to be physically and mentally fit at all times.

What do you like most about studying at College?

The College provides lots of useful ways to progress your learning, and some really helpful options if you’re struggling. At one point I was finding it difficult to keep up with my Maths and so was given extra sessions which has been incredibly useful.

What are your interests outside College?

I play Rugby for the Old Reigations Rugby Club. It’s a great way to let off steam, as well as developing teamwork and co-operation skills. It provides a necessary break from studying and is a chance to spend time with friends doing something we love.

What are your plans for the future?

I’m in the Lower Sixth so haven’t had to decide yet, but I’m intending to go to university.
