How and why did you decide which subjects to study?
I knew I wanted to study Psychology. I chose Sociology and Economics as they seemed to be interesting subjects that are great complements to Psychology, as the topics cross over with each other.
How did you find the move from school to College?
I found it difficult to start with, as it felt like a step out of my comfort zone but after a few weeks I knew it was the right decision as I started to make new friends and get really involved in my subjects.
What have you enjoyed most about your courses?
I’ve enjoyed learning about Criminal Psychology and Crime and Deviance in Psychology and Sociology. It fascinates me the way the criminal justice system works and the interactions between police and criminals. I’ve enjoyed learning about how people’s backgrounds effect the kinds of crime they are more likely to commit and who is more likely to get away with crime, due to stereotypes made about criminals.
What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?
I like how interactive teachers are and the fact they really care and will always be willing to offer help. I’m never tentative about asking for help because I know teachers will always be willing to provide it.
What’s your plan for when you leave College?
I want to go to the University of Lancaster and study Psychology. I’m not sure exactly what I’d like to do after that but as a broad degree, it gives me lots of options to choose from.
