Why did you choose Reigate College?
I chose Reigate because it has a wide range of courses to choose from and I was able to do a mixture of A Levels and BTECs.
How and why did you decide which subjects to study?
I’ve always known I wanted to do Health & Social Care. I chose Applied Human Biology because I knew it would help steer me towards Nursing and when I looked around the College, Psychology just seemed very interesting.
Tell us about any College Enrichment activities you’ve been involved in.
I’m part of the ‘Careers in Health’ tutorial pathway at College. Through that, I’m gaining an insight into working as a healthcare professional and the different routes available. I’ve had a chance to find out about working in the NHS, for example, and how its values and ethics apply to everyday situations in a healthcare setting.
What do you like most about being a student at Reigate College?
I like the university-style independence the College provides. Having study gaps in between my lessons means I get to manage some of my own study time, which I usually spend in the College’s Independent Learning Centre.
What’s your plan for when you leave College?
I’d like to become a Nurse, and do a Nursing Apprenticeship at East Surrey Hospital. I’m currently looking for volunteering opportunities to help me with my application.
