Congratulations to all the Upper and Lower Sixth Students who took part in this year’s UK Senior Maths Challenge.
David Neumann, Further Maths Course Leader, commented: “I was really pleased to see so many Reigate College students taking part in this year’s challenge – 71 in fact – which is more than we’ve ever had before. Everyone who took part deserves praise, especially as the competition fell on the first day of the second national lockdown, on 5 November.
There were lots of excellent scores and several students who were just a couple of points away from being awarded a Bronze Certificate.
My hope is that everyone who competed in their Lower Sixth will have another go next year.
A special well done to Niamh Chavasse who improved on her Silver Certificate last year and was awarded a Gold Certificate in 2020. This means she will automatically qualify for the follow-on round (the Senior Kangaroo). Congratulations too to the highest scoring Lower Sixth student Nancy Hope Roadnight.”
