Success at the Maths Olympiad for Girls

Nancy-Roadnight

On 7 October, four young women from Reigate College took part in The Maths Olympiad for Girls, organised by the UK Mathematics Trust https://www.ukmt.org.uk/mog

David Neumann, Course Leader for Further Maths, at the College explained, “The Maths Olympiad for Girls is open to girls and young women across the UK and requires them to get to grips with five challenging problems in an exam scenario.  It’s a great opportunity for them extend their Maths knowledge and skills.  The UKMT runs the competition as a way of encouraging more young women to continue studying Maths and Further Maths at A Level and beyond.”

He went on, “Our top-scoring student was Nancy Roadnight who was awarded a Certificate of Distinction, with Isabelle Haywood, Lili Finch and Madison Brown each receiving a Certificate of Merit. I’d like to thank each of the girls for their commitment to the competition.”
