Role: Permanent, Part-time Teacher of Product Design

Duration: Permanent, part-time between 38.10% and 61.90% of full-time. Available from 1 September 2018

Salary: Full-time equivalent salary is up to £39,695 per annum

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Teacher of A Level Product Design. The successful applicant will also be required to teach the design elements of the Level 3 AQA Engineering course.
There are 12 members of the Art & Design department including full and part time teachers, technicians and learning support staff. Other courses within the department include A Level Fine Art, BTEC Level 3 Art & Design (Graphics) and A Level Fashion and Textiles.
Our students have an excellent record of progressing onto Further and Higher Education courses. All those applying to Foundation courses achieve places with a smaller number of students going directly to HND and Degree courses.
Accommodation is excellent and includes 4 studios, 2 darkrooms, 2 teaching rooms, a computer suite and a kiln room, as well as office space for staff. 
We continue to aim for all our students to produce outstanding creative results. 
The post is permanent, part-time between 38.10% and 61.90% of full-time and the full-time equivalent salary is up to £39,695 per annum, which includes the Reigate College Allowance and the Professional Standards Payment (where applicable). The post would be equally suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher. 
Candidates are asked to complete the Teaching Staff application form and return it to the Personnel Officer as soon as possible, but no later than 9.00 a.m. on Monday 21 May 2018.
When completing their application, candidates are asked to indicate their result (A*-B grades, retention, value added), as well as particular strengths, experiences and interests that they would bring to this post itself and more generally to College life outside their teaching commitment.
