Getting a head start in tech

Computer Science students keen to study the discipline next year heard from past student Som E-Agwuegbo about university life at Loughborough, where she also co-founded an AI-driven careers platform called Nestwork.

Pathway Lead Katya Martins da Silva said, “It was great having Som here. She delivered a great presentation and did a brilliant job of answering all our students’ questions.

“What stood out was the importance of getting comfortable with networking events to build your contacts and connections. We also took away how valuable it is to do sideline projects alongside your degree, as these come into their own when job hunting on graduation.”
