Reigate College’s A Level and BTEC results surpass those of all local state providers and are again among the very best in Surrey. What’s the College’s secret? Outstanding teaching partnered by outstanding support.
A breakdown of the College’s 2020 results is available below:
- Reigate College aims to ensure all students out-perform their nationally generated predicted grades. This is what is meant by “value added”. In practice this means that students whose GCSE scores suggest they will achieve a particular grade in a subject invariably exceed this grade. In fact, students typically achieve three times the number of high grades they are nationally predicted to achieve – a ‘value added’ achievement Ofsted refer to as “stratospheric”.
- Some sixth form providers do not mention ‘value added’ in their publicity or that their pass rates are artificially high due to the restrictions they place on students who enter the sixth form or who they allow to progress from Year 12 to year 13.
