The College’s Careers Programme is delivered by a team of staff, that includes three qualified Careers Advisors, led by the College’s Director of Progression, Ellen Walkinshaw.
The aims of the department are to:
- Ensure students are aware of the range of Career Pathways open to them after leaving College, both academic and vocational.
- Support students through the university application process (via UCAS) and help with applications to specialist colleges, such as Art Schools and Performing Arts Colleges.
- Ensure students have access to up-to-date labour market information to help inform their decisions.
- Help students gain experiences of the workplace.
- Assist with applications for employment, CV writing and mock interviews.
- Arrange lunchtime talks that provide students with useful encounters for further education, higher education, employers and employees.
