Making mental health a priority year-round

Free hot chocolates, slime making, the chance to chat and signposting local support were all part of the College’s mental health awareness work this week, culminating with ‘Wear It Yellow’ for World Mental Health Day (10 October).

Mental health support is a year-round priority at the College, with our drop-in Support Hub; a wide-range of pop-up and regular enrichment activities; our Staff Student Wellbeing Mentors and our wonderful Student Mentor volunteers who provide friendship and peer-to-peer support for anyone who needs a bit of extra help settling into College life.

Reigate College also provides direct access to counselling via Surrey Counselling and Mediation Service. Any student needing support can talk to their tutor or pastoral manager. This year, students can also request support through their College portal, enabling access to support at any time.
