On 24 September we were delighted to open our doors to over 350 Upper Sixth students and parents attending our Apprenticeship and Employment Pathway event, now in its third year.
The event – which ran three times during the evening – featured a live Q&A panel with six alumni followed by informal one-to-one chats over refreshments with four Alumni Apprenticeship Ambassadors.
Ellen Walkinshaw, Director (Progression & Skills) said: “Once the questions start flowing, it’s just brilliant. The good humour, honesty and enthusiasm of our alumni really brings things to life for our students, and there’s a real buzz in the room.”
Designed to help students succeed in a competitive job market, the Pathway encourages early planning and has a focus on skills development. Events like this play a vital role in sparking motivation, self-belief and improved confidence.
Huge thanks to our panellists Ben Dillon, Finlay Truelove, Freeman Richards, Layla Theophilus, Lianna Naylor and Sarah Miller, and to our Apprenticeship Ambassadors Ben Littlefield, Grace Woodhams, Izzy Ross and Lucia Schifano.
Thanks also to our dedicated Careers team, Premises and support staff for making the evening such a success.
