Ever wanted to give Women’s Rugby a go? Here’s your chance!  Please turn up to training (in sports clothes and trainers) or email coach sergio.rodriguez@reigate.ac.uk or activities@reigate.ac.uk

Coach Sergio explains: “Rugby is coming to life for girls at Reigate College—and the journey starts now! We’re laying the foundations for something truly special: by September 2026, our goal is to field a full 15-a-side team, creating opportunities for girls to compete at the highest level.”

“Right now, we’re focused on technical skills and game understanding, training in the Sports Hall to build confidence and precision. This commitment is key—it’s the spark that will ignite a thriving programme. From January, we aim to bring together 10–15 girls to enter Spring 7s competitions, giving players a taste of the speed, strategy, and excitement that rugby offers.”

“Why rugby? It’s a highly cerebral game, perfect for girls of all body shapes and athletic backgrounds. It’s not just about strength—it’s about vision, teamwork, and resilience. And beyond the pitch, rugby is a place to create long-lasting friendships and a sense of belonging.”

“Looking ahead, we’re also planning to bring in a second coach to support the programme and make rugby a regular Wednesday sport option. Every step we take now moves us closer to that dream.”

“If you’re ready to be part of something bold, challenging, and fun—this is your moment. Join us and help shape the future of Girls’ Rugby at our College!
