Musical Theatre students enjoyed a trip to New Wimbledon Theatre to see Come From Away.
Head of Musical Theatre Zoe Dunkley explains, “The performance of ‘Come From Away’ was linked to the Group Performance part of the Musical Theatre curriculum. It provided the perfect opportunity to look at creative set design, the effectiveness of multi-rolling and the importance of narrative, music and lyrics, in preparation for students devising their own short musical. We had the added bonus of meeting the cast after the show!”
Come From Away chronicles the real-life experiences of the people of Gander, Newfoundland, and the almost 7000 airline passengers who were forced to land there when US air space was closed on September 11, 2001 (9/11)
