Over 30 organisations joined our ‘Meet the Employer’ event on May 6, engaging with around 500 students, parents and guardians to explore career paths.
The evening served as a valuable chance for students to practise their networking skills while discovering opportunities in work experience, volunteering, part-time positions, and full-time careers.
Ellen Walkinshaw, Director (Skills and Progression), said “It was fantastic to witness such purposeful and inspiring conversations and hear how impressed employers were with our students’ enthusiasm and engagement.”
The evening also featured an informative talk on apprenticeship applications by Head of Careers Carolyn Langford, and productive discussions between departmental subject leads and employers about the essential workplace skills the College can help our students develop.
A big thank you to our Careers and Premises teams, and to all our visitors for making the event such a success.
