Politics students attend prestigious Politics Conference

On 2 December, 30 Politics students attended a Politics conference at Methodist Central Hall in London, along with a thousand sixth formers from around the country.

Students were able to ask tough questions to politicians from all political parties and participate in a political survey run by a reputable polling company. Attending the PolEcon conference were Nigel Farage, the Commons speaker Lindsay Hoyle, Michel Gove and Stella Creasy, to name just a few high-profile current and former MPs who spoke in front of a packed and lively audience.

Nick de Souza, Head of Politics at the College, said, “These are vital, formative experiences for Politics students that help them to analyse different political opinions, as well as formulate some of their own. I’m particularly proud of the Reigate students who asked tough questions of the guest speakers.”

Our thanks to everyone involved with arranging the visit.
