So good it should be illegal…

Last night we held our first ever Law Pathway event, featuring five alumni working in the legal profession. Our panel of past students included a barrister, two solicitors, a trainee solicitor and a trainee paralegal, all of whom shared their considerable insights and experiences since leaving Reigate College through to their current career.

Liz Sanders, Associate Director of Pathways, explained, “In advance of Progression Day on June 18, this face-to-face event helped our students and their parents and carers get more informed about planning a career in law.

“Our panel included legal professionals who have taken apprenticeship and traditional university routes, so it was a brilliant way to explore different ways to get into the profession and hear what life is really like in the job.

“We believe it’s vital that students think about what’s right for them and we wanted to give them the tools to make a decision about whether to join the College’s specialist Law Pathway in their Upper Sixth.”

A huge thank you must go to our incredible alumni panel – Adam Rawlinson, Amber Matheson, Antony Vundi, Harriet Price and Kaj Scarsbrook – who all took time out of their (very!) busy work diaries to answer our audience’s questions with both honesty and humour.

Thanks also to our wonderful staff team Ann-Marie Williams; Gregory Saunders-Griffin; Kate Oake; Liz Sanders; and Ellen Walkinshaw for putting in an incredible amount of hard work to develop the vision and plans for the event, and to all the other staff who helped to run things on the night: Amy Ingrassia; Carolyn Langford; Mahmut Yildirim; Michael Freeman; Sean Boothe and our Estates team.
