Presented below is a typical Year in the Reigate College Careers Department. Current students will be notified of the specific dates during tutorial periods.

Autumn Term
On-going	Lower Sixth	Career planning begins via the Tutorial Programme
September - December	Upper Sixth	Advice and support given to students applying to university (UCAS) Preparation sessions offered for university interviews Mentoring process for all Oxbridge applicants Gap Year Fair
Spring Term
January onwards	Lower Sixth	Students identified with the potential to apply to the top universities Talk given to these students by the Careers Department regarding additional requirements
February		Sessions offered to all Lower Sixth students wanting to apply for Higher Education Information given on how to research university choices and courses
March		Higher Education forum for parents, usually with guest speakers from two different universities UCAS Higher Education Fair at Surrey University Oxbridge Conference for students wishing to apply to Oxbridge 'Get Ahead' Day for all Lower Sixth
On-going	Upper Sixth	Students supported through the process of replying to university offers Students intending to go directly into employment given information about employment opportunities and apprenticeships
Summer Term
June	Lower Sixth	Higher Education and Careers Day, with speakers from Birmingham and Surrey universities giving talks on Personal Statements and Student Finance. Non UCAS students offered the opportunity to attend an employment workshop, looking at alternatives to university Group workshops on writing Personal Statements Work experience opportunities
