2017 results

A fuller breakdown of the College's 2017 results is available here.

  • Reigate College aims to ensure all students out-perform their nationally generated predicted grades. This is what is meant by “value added”. In practice this means that students whose GCSE scores suggest they will achieve a particular grade in a subject invariably exceed this grade.  In December 2013, Ofsted visited the College and referred to the College's value added achievement as “stratospheric”.
  • Some sixth form providers do not mention "value added" in their publicity or that their pass rates are artificially high due to the restrictions they place on students who enter the sixth form. Some also decline to publish their AS results and the percentage of students who progress from Year 12 to year 13. By “sifting” the students who are allowed to sit an A level exam, published results improve remarkably.
  • Reigate's AS results are published alongside the College's A Level results and you'll see there is an extremely high progression from Year 12 to Year 13.
