Congratulations to Reigate College A Level Classical Civilisation student Scarlett Morgan, for winning first prize in the Verse and Voice competition run by the Classical Association, the national association for the promotion of classical subjects.
The competition asked students to pick from a selection of objects from the Sir John Soames museum in London, and write a piece inspired by this.
Scarlett chose the “Statuette of a Lar” and wrote a wonderful poem from the Lar’s perspective. She will be awarded her prize at a special ceremony at the Sir John’s Soames museum in London on the 25th April.
