Reigate College hosts Rock, Pop and Urban event

On 9 May, the College hosted the Rock, Pop and Urban category of the Reigate and Redhill Festival, an event designed to support young musicians, aged 10 to 19, who want to develop their performance skills in Rock, Pop or Urban Music.

The College’s Head of Music John Evans, who was joined by fellow adjudicator Nikki Franklin from @Franklin Music https://franklinmusic.net/  said,

“The Rock Pop and Urban event is going from strength-to-strength. This is the third year the College has hosted the RPU performances and we’ve seen their standard improving, year-on-year. It’s great to see performers return to showcase their development.  The audience was treated to some fantastic music-making throughout the day.”

Our thanks to all the students who took part: Zayne Oris, Hiu Chang POON (Hilbert), Chloe Newman, Poppy Matthews, Ayo Omotosho, Nandita Ramnarayan, Hodenkobold, AtlasSienna Greenaway, Conor Marsh, Aayush Chhatralia, Sophie Ellis, Emma Newberry, Rock Project Caterham, Rock Project Purley and Rock Project Addiscombe.

As in previous years, some of the performers will be selected to perform at Reigate Summer Festival (19-21 June 2026) https://reigatesummerfestival.co.uk/
