Congratulations to Pearl L (not pictured), Lower Sixth 3D Design student and winner of this year’s beach hut design competition.

Entries were judged by local architect Jhonnatan Jaramillo and architectural technologist Siann Thomas, who looked at how well students had considered flexibility, their target market and sustainability in their designs.

Pearl’s fantastic prize is a week’s in-person work experience with Jhonnatan’s firm, WS Planning & Architecture.

The annual competition is run by Head of 3D Design and Engineering Rebecca Degiorgio and acts as a ‘warm-up’ before students’ coursework is formally assessed in the Upper Sixth. Well done to our runners-up Amy C and Issac J too (pictured).
