Huge congratulations to the Reigate College bands who wowed the crowds at a ‘New Music Night’, on Friday 3 May at Reigate Priory Football Club.
John Evans, Head of Music at Reigate College explained, “New Music Nights is a brilliant not-for-profit nugget run by volunteers, created with the sole purpose of discovering and encouraging creativity and talent. We had the opportunity to use the evening of 3 May as a warm-up event, for our Upper Sixth BTEC Music students, for both their major final performance the following week and Reigate Summer Festival, that’s taking place in around Reigate town centre on the 14 to16 June.”
“Our involvement with New Music Nights and Reigate Summer Festival gives our musicians the opportunity to play off-site in a safe and supportive environment, and I was immensely proud of all the students who took part – whether they were performers, technicians or supporters – they were a credit to the College! The feedback I received on the night from members of the audience not directly associated with the college was testament to this, and we will be back in the Autumn Term to showcase our new intake of young musicians.”
