14 Classical Civilisation and History students visited the Dorking Museum and Heritage Centre on Saturday 23rd November. They had the opportunity to meet with the Centre’s Chairperson, Kathey Atherton, learn about archive work and the storage of artefacts. They also spoke with a museum volunteer who is currently doing an MA in Museum Studies. Students were able to understand how museums work and the types of tasks employment in this environment might involve, giving them a valuable insight into the culture and heritage sector.
