College Welcomes Prospective Modern Foreign Language Students

On 29 January, the College hosted an event for prospective students aiming to study A Level French, Spanish, or German from September 2025. The event attracted around 60 Applicants, accompanied by their parents and guardians, offering them an insightful introduction to the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Department.

The session began with an overview delivered by Co-Heads of MFL, Tanja Bloss and Béné Morell, who provided an in-depth look at the Department’s offerings and academic opportunities. Attendees also had the chance to engage with current MFL students, asking questions about College life and their experiences studying languages.

To give prospective students a true taste of language learning at the College, they participated in interactive mini-lessons in their chosen language. These sessions included fun, engaging activities designed to showcase the teaching methods and classroom facilities.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for applicants to experience the College’s vibrant learning environment first-hand, meet other prospective students and inspire them to pursue their passion for languages at A Level.
