Congratulations to Finn Russell who’s secured work experience this Easter, within the Marketing team at Williams Racing.  Finn was one of around 2,700 students who applied to do work experience at the Formula One, Williams Racing team  (otherwise known as Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited).

Knowing how intense the competition for work experience was likely to be, Finn had the ingenious idea of submitting a press release to Williams Racing, as part of his application, announcing his appointment in the role.

Finn said, “I knew it was a risk, but I knew I needed to do something to make my application stand out from the crowd.  I used the headline “ Young marketing talent Finley Russell joins the Williams Racing Work Experience Programme.”   I even included a fictitious quote from the Director of Marketing at Williams Racing saying how glad he was to have me on board.  I can’t believe the gamble paid off.  It is a dream come true to have the chance to do work experience there.” 

Finn was previously at the Beacon School and is doing A Levels in Film, Media and Business Studies.
