9-12 December was the College’s now annual ‘Gratitude Week’ – comprising of performances from the College’s Staff band and Performing Arts students, Christmas Crafts (card-making, decorating gingerbread biscuits/baubles/snowflakes and Christmas origami), free hot chocolate, a thank you message board and the College’s Winter Concert (on 11 Dec).
Intermediate and Lower Sixth tutor groups contributed towards gift bags for elderly members of Merstham Age Concern. Thanks to all the Tutor elves who did an incredible job! While Upper Sixth students collected foodbank donations for the local charity Loveworks, as well as gathering donations of toileteries for teenagers, via local charity Stripey Stork.
Our thanks to the College’s Students’ Union, Wendy Gregory (Community Coordinator) and everyone else involved in making the week such a success, but particularly Jennifer Parmenter (Reprographics) and Martin Brown (Estates) for their help in constructing a practically life-size ginger bread-house!
